FAQ

What are the payment terms?

Reformer and online classes are paid for online at time of booking.

Payment for the weekly group mat Pilates classes are made by monthly direct debit payment through GoCardless at the beginning of the month. Helen typically teaches 38/39 lessons per year for each class, based around school terms.

There are times when you may miss a class - such as through illness, childcare and holidays. The payment plan is priced at the equivalent of approximately 32 drop in lessons per year to allow you to miss some classes without losing out. If at any point Helen needs to cancel a class this will count towards the free classes offered and there will be no refund.

Please do not ask for a discount if you go on holiday during term time. The number of lessons delivered each month varies but the price is spread evenly over 12 months. The year runs from September to July and your first payment is a month in advance starting at the beginning of August.

The monthly payment is £32. By joining this plan you have a guaranteed space for as long as you want it.

If you decide to leave part way through a term you will be liable for the remainder of the term. If you have already overpaid Helen will arrange for a refund. You are also welcome to make up for missed classes and it is recommended that you take the catch up class a week either side of the missed class so that you haven't missed out on a new exercise.

The monthly price includes a discount on a standard class price and gives you greater freedom and flexibility if you are going on holiday or are away for a period of time.

How do i join a group mat pilates class?

If you would like to join a group mat class please get in touch, where Helen will send you a joining form. Payment is then set up to be taken monthly by GoCardless. This is a secure payment method which you are in control of at all times.

What do I need to bring to class?

You will need to bring a mat and head cushion (if you need one) to group mat classes. Small equipment such as magic circles, hand weights, resistance bands are a ‘nice to have’ but not necessary. A bottle of water is a good idea, and for reformer classes you will need grippy socks.

What should I wear?

You don't need to buy any new clothing to come to class. Wear something comfortable, not too restrictive. For example a pair of leggings or tracksuit bottoms and a close fitting top is fine. Due to some of the exercises and positions you will be in (side lying for example) if you are wearing shorts to class, please wear close fitting underwear underneath for your own comfort ensuring no indiscretions. Socks are also recommended so that your feet move more easily along the floor. Reformer clients will need grippy socks, and no zips on the backs of leggings please as they damage the equipment. Jeans are not comfortable to move in.
